Danielle’s Peach Cobbler Recipe

We’re 3 weeks into Whole30, and while we’re loving it, we can’t wait to include desserts back into our diet every now and then. Here’s a recipe that breaks almost every Whole30 rule. You better believe we’ll be making this to celebrate Day 31 next week!cobbler

When Steve and I were visiting friends in Atlanta, Tammy’s daughter-in-law Danielle made us the most delicious peach cobbler.  It was so yummy that we asked her to make it for us again the next night! Danielle was kind enough to allow us to share the recipe with all of you.

1 box yellow cake mix
1/2 cup butter, softened
1/4 cup butter cut into small pieces
1/3 cup brown sugar
1T cinnamon (more to taste)
2 cans peaches in juice, drained
3 fresh peaches, sliced
1t vanilla

In a deep casserole dish, combine canned and fresh peaches together with vanilla. In a separate mixing bowl, combine cake mix, brown sugar and cinnamon.  Use your hands to mix in butter until the mixture forms large crumbles; pour on top of peaches. Sprinkle with more cinnamon and top with remaining butter.  Bake at 400 for about 25 minutes until edges are bubbly and top is browned.
